TalentScreen

How it works

Short Movie - Rookie and Advanced

1. Register yourself and your team at www.talentscreen.com. In 2019, the Short Movie Award is taking place in the German and French speaking part of Switzerland, with the respective Award Nights in Zurich and Lausanne. Choose where you want to participate. Participation is possible from 15 years of age onwards.

2. On Friday, August 30, 2019 at 12:00 noon, this year’s topic will be announced and the 60 hour window for the contest will begin.

3. Start producing your film. It should be at least 90 seconds and up to 3 minutes long.

4. The film must be uploaded no later than Sunday, September 1, 11:59 p.m.
Including:

  • a descriptive text of about 5 - 10 sentences
  • a photo that matches your film
  • a Low-res version (for uploading) and
  • a download link (for example Vimeo) to a High-res version

Each member of your team must register themselves on the website. The submission must not be made public on any channels until the award night. Disregarding this will lead to exclusion from the competition.

5. The Award Night on Saturday, September 14, 2019, will be the big showdown of the films selected by the jury. The audience’s applause will determine the winners. Participation in the Award Night is a prerequisite for winning.

Social Hero - presented by 20 Minuten

1. Register on www.talentscreen.com. The Social Hero Award will take place in 2019 in German-speaking Switzerland on Award Night in Zurich. Anyone aged 13 - 25 can participate

2. When the competition begins on Friday August 30, 2019 at 12.00 noon, we will announce three things to start the 60-hour time window.

3. Think about a web series concept and submit the first episode of 2 to 5 minutes. You or your duo should be the focus of the video, and the three things must occur in some form. For example, as a word or as an object.

4. Before the contest stops on Sunday September 1 at 23.59, your production must be uploaded to your profile on www.talentscreen.com
This is what it takes:

  • A little descriptive text from you
  • A small concept text for the web series
  • A photo to match your contribution, preferably with you in it
  • A LowRes version (to upload)
  • A download link (e.g. Vimeo) to the HighRes version

Your entry is not allowed to be published on any other channels before the Award Night. Disregard will result in exclusion from the competition.

5. Award Night on September 14, 2019 will be the big showdown of the entries selected by the jury. There the audience determines the winners by volume of applause. Participation in Award Night is a prerequisite for winning.
