Music Video Entry - Shaira Yasmin Berg

The style I made my music video takes a step back in technology and allows for the song to really come through with an authentically rustic 2000s mood making the viewer reminisce and appreciate the rawness of the video. Shot on the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii the viewer cannot help but immerse themselves into the environment, practically feeling the salty air against their skin and dreaming of the leafy palms that would tower above them. The song interests the viewer with the ideas of taking a long road to safety and happiness which is mirrored in my video through the winding concrete that surrounds the tropical island. Shot with a Canon 5D and an iPhone 8 the rustic nature of the video is achieved through post production. Sometimes the simple depiction of a place so beautiful is enough to do it justice and create a piece of art to accompany the beauty of the song by Baba Shrimps.
